What do you do at CEI
I facilitate trainings across all sectors that CEI serves, working closely with people to connect social justice throughout their professional and personal lived experiences.
What did you do prior to CEI
I worked at the Sexual & Gender Minority Youth Resource Center (SMYRC), facilitating gender and sexuality justice workshops with a wide variety of community partners. Before moving to Portland, I spent years in a variety of art education contexts, bridging art making with community building. I have been connected to youth organizing and leadership building in some capacity for over 20 years.
What do you believe
Education is a lifelong commitment. Art making can function as a tool for looking at systems differently. Eating food together builds community.
